Gaza: In the largest and most shameful concentration camp of the 21st century, Israel is genociding the Palestinians one neighborhood at the time, one hospital at the time, one school at the time, one refugee camp at the time, one 'safe zone' at the time. With US and European weapons. And amid the indifference of all "civilised nations".
May the Palestinians forgive us for our collective inability to protect them, honoring the most basic meaning of intl law.
Brigadier General Azmi, Barrister Mir Ahmad, Michael Chakma, and Ayanaghar.
Question is, under which law or by what authority did Dictator Sheikh Hasina keep these three individuals imprisoned for years in a cursed secret prison called Ayanaghar? Deprived of any legal counsel, completely isolated from their family, and considered disappeared by the world, the precious time lost from these individuals' lives and the inhumane, unjust detention they suffered for years without any crime—will Hasina ever be able to provide an acceptable answer for this?
Many are still missing, but surely we have some idea where they might be held. I urge the security forces to release them all immediately and inform the families of those who have already been murdered.
Each and everyperson, including Sheikh Hasina, who aided in the illegal imprisonment and murder of these unfortunate people, will be identified and brought to justice. No matter which country you seek refuge in, I will personally ensure that you are found and brought to justice.
"I really want people to know that we love you, you are very welcome here in this country. I tell you who isn't welcome - Tommy Robinson and the far right. Deport them, you lot please stay and help us make it a better place."
Non-Muslims in Bedford send messages of support to the Muslim community.
I'm at a loss for words to describe this. Not once did Hasina mention the students who lost their lives during the recent protests during her latest presser with business leaders. The police killed at least 170 students (the actual number is likely higher), but she didn't express any condolences, nor did she address the police brutality. All she said was that the protest was orchestrated by '@BJI_Official and @bdbnp78,' and she will go to any extent to arrest and punish the perpetrators.
This is sickening. What a classic case of a dictator she is!
This morning, I spoke with two doctors in Dhaka. Both of them mentioned that due to limited means of communication, they are struggling to arrange blood for the injured and critically injured protesters.
The blood banks in Dhaka are almost empty. Because of the curfew and ongoing clashes, donors from around Dhaka are unable to come. The shortage of required blood has led to many deaths. All hospital staff have come forward to donate blood, but the supply is inadequate compared to the demand.

@kamingock@abcnews From the @BMJ_latest: "Nearly a third (30%) of doctors currently practising medicine in the UK are considering leaving in the next 12 months to work abroad, a survey by the General Medical Council (GMC) has suggested."

The NHS is run down, its doctors have been run down. The UK faces a GP exodus. Low pay, conditions, role substitution. We must make sure Australia doesn't take the wrong lessons from their mistakes.
Great to speak to Lexi Hamilton-Smith for an upcoming ABC story with @kamingock.
We’re probably 5 years from a Hollywood movie that centres a white western NGO worker or journalist saving Gazan orphans from Israel.
10 years from a movie about an Israeli feeling sad about mass killings.
15 years from how America was always anti-genocide and Apartheid.
One of our Trustees, Zeeshan Siddiqui, speaks about why this could be his Potential Final Umrah as he prepares to set sail on the Freedom For Gaza Flotilla and could potentially become Shaheed.

And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children
Will the Freedom Flotilla sail to Gaza?
