Iran and its proxies have not only shed Sunni blood across Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and elsewhere, they have also worked to spread the heretical creed of the Twelver Shi’ah.

Listen to Hussein al-Houthi, one of the founders of the Houthi movement, maligning Umar b. al-Khattab and blaming him for every calamity that has afflicted this Ummah.

This is the reality people are trying to whitewash.

No political grievance, slogan or allegiance can justify standing with those who malign the Companions and spill the blood of Sunni Muslims.

To knowingly champion such people is a betrayal of the Companions and of Sunni Muslims globally who have suffered at their hands.

Watching the trajectory of Muhammad Hijab reminds one of the statement of Imam al-Shafi’i:

“No one has ever delved into speculative theology (Kalam) and prospered.”

Leniency toward Shirk and the Shi’ah, yet venom and hostility toward the scholars of Tawhid. The fruits of Kalam!

Infidel is a Christian term

The term “infidel” comes from early Christian theology. Historically, Christians were the first to use the term “infidel” to describe: Muslims, Jews, Pagans, and anyone who did not accept Christian doctrine.

Merriam-webster dictionary: infidel 1. One who is not a Christian or opposes Christianity.

The Bible uses the word infidel according to the 21st Century King James Version in the book of 1 Timothy 5:7-9.

“And these things charge them, that they may be blameless. But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.”

The Qur’an was revealed in the Arabic language. What is commonly referred to in English as “the Qur’an” is a translation of the meaning of the Qur’an, not the Qur’an itself.
As a result, certain English terms reflect the translator’s interpretive choices rather than the precise wording of the original Arabic text.

The word “infidel” is not found in the Arabic Qur’an; it is an interpretive term introduced by a few translators and does not correspond to a single Qur’anic word.

The Qur’an uses precise Arabic terms like: (al-kāfirūn) – those who reject or cover the truth

(al-mushrikūn) –those who associate partners with Allah
(People of the Book) – referring to Jews and Christians
None of these words mean “infidel.”
