In this book cover design, I used illustrations to reflect the time lapse story by Mandeleine L'angle.

🔥 Designing Info:

👉 I used Illustrator to draw the art. Then used Photoshop to create the roughness and used different hues on multiple illustrations to create this look.

👉 Font:
I wanted a font that is really out there. So i used "Blackadder ITC" font because it expressed the ups n downs of the story.

👉 Appearance:
I added an extra stroke to the text and applied blur effect to give the mystical feel.

Shapes:

The closed rounded corners represent security and protection.

The solid base of L represents stability

Everything that is designed has a theory behind it. Only then you can ensure that your design is meaningful and leaves a mark.

🎨Colors: The most important part of the design is its colors. If you break the colors, you break the design.

🍑 Pastel Peach: Sweetness, Pleasant and Friendly.

🌞Pastel to light Yellow: Sunshine, Flowers. Also enhances optimism and gives a feeling of uplifting.

💜Purple: Luxury and Royalty.

add some depth into the name of the book.

👉For the background I choose a dark gray texture to match the mystery that the story contains.

📄 I used Photoshop to mask a wolf silhouette image into a woods picture.

👉The woods picture was taken in day light so I used "color lookup" to convert the colors into night time effect.

This is how you vanish any object from an image in Photoshop

1. Open an image of your choice.
2. Duplicate the layer using ctrl + j - just incase.
3. Select Polygonal Lasso Tool and select the object you want to remove.
4. Go to Edit -> Fill. Select "Content Aware" from Contents

2. If you are removing an object that is in any perspective area. That just mean that its not on a flat surface but on a table or stairs or on a wall with an angle. Go to

Filters -> Vanishing Point...

Select the area using vanishing tool and then CLONE it.

Using explosion brushes, hue saturation, gaussian blur and blending other layers I created these effects on Photoshop.

I was tired of finding the perfect mockup so i created my own.... It takes a little time but i think once you get a hang of it, you can really stand out of the crowd. Other way is to pay for mockups. N in that case my rant was useless 😂
