Bouncing back is effortless if you were fit before pregnancy and kept those habits throughout the 9 months. The fear mongering around "losing your body" is mostly from women who weren't very active and in shape beforehand and/or overate while pregnant.

If you're a young and active girl, you'll stay beautiful, almost effortlessly. You could even look *better* after childbirth. Your hips widen a bit and breastfeeding burns through fat fast.

I loved watching my baby smile in his sleep when he was a newborn. He had no idea he was doing it too.

Babies do this from the first few days of life even before they can smile on purpose. These sleep smiles are not responses to dreams. They happen during active sleep, when the nervous system is firing and the facial muscles are working themselves out.

A real smile usually happens around 6-8 weeks. Until then, you are watching their nervous system practice in the background.
