I have heard this question many times, especially from Peter Obi supporters:

"If you have a company and you want to employ someone to run or manage it, between Peter Obi and Tinubu, who will you choose?"

Most Obidients answer Peter Obi because they say he saved money as governor of Anambra State.

My answer is different.

I will choose Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Why?

Because running an organization is not just about keeping money in the bank. It is about leadership, expansion, investment, negotiation, people management and growth.

Tinubu has demonstrated the ability to bring people together for a common purpose. He has shown the ability to build teams, manage diverse interests and get people to work towards a shared goal.

He has also shown the ability to use resources for development and expansion.

When you look at Lagos today and compare it to what it was before his tenure as governor, you can see the impact of policies, investments and long-term planning. Many people who worked with him during that period are still relevant today and are excelling in different sectors.

Can the same be said about Peter Obi?

For me, the answer is no.

Saving money alone is not the ultimate measure of leadership.

A company does not exist simply to keep money in its account. A company exists to invest, grow, expand and create value.

If all a manager does is save money without making strategic investments that grow the business, then the business remains stagnant.

This reminds me of the biblical parable of the talents.

The servants who invested and multiplied what was entrusted to them were praised. The servant who simply kept his talent and returned it untouched was rebuked.

The lesson was clear: resources are meant to be used productively, not merely preserved.

That is why I find the "he saved money" argument shallow.

Running a state or a company requires more than saving.

It requires vision.

It requires growth.

It requires expansion.

It requires the ability to manage people and resources effectively.

For me, that is why I would choose Tinubu over Peter Obi to run a company.

On the issue of Toyin Abraham rejecting being part of the APC campaign council in Lagos State, I have seen different opinions.

Some people are supporting her decision, while others are attacking her for it. I even saw a post calling her fake.

But one thing many people are failing to understand is that Toyin Abraham is the one who went through the experience, and she has every right to make the decision she believes is best for her.

Let's go back to 2022 and 2023.

Toyin Abraham came out openly and boldly to support APC. She supported APC not just in the presidential election but also in the Lagos State governorship election. She even refused to support a friend and colleague who was contesting as a deputy governorship candidate because she chose to stand with APC.

What did she get in return?

She was heavily bullied by the Obidient movement and Peter Obi supporters. She was insulted, dragged, boycotted and attacked. Some people openly called for the boycott of her movies and her career suffered because of her political choice.

Those who were not at the receiving end of that bullying may never understand the emotional pain and trauma that came with it.

She went through it.

Not them.

Not us.

Her.

Now the question is this:

What did APC do for her when she was facing all those attacks?

What did the Lagos State government do to show that they were standing behind someone who publicly risked her reputation to support them?

Did they publicly defend her?

Did they rally around her?

Did they show appreciation for her sacrifice?

Did they make any serious effort to support her career when she was being targeted?

Did they even attempt to reconcile her with people whose relationships were damaged because of politics?

From what many people saw publicly, the answer appears to be no.

They watched while she took all the heat.

Now another election season has arrived and her name suddenly appears on a campaign council list without her prior consent.

Why shouldn't she have the right to reject it?

Why shouldn't she have the right to say no?

Anyone who has never experienced the kind of bullying and isolation she experienced should be careful about judging her decision.

The APC and Lagos State political establishment dropped the ball on this one.

When people go all out for your cause, you should stand by them when they are under attack (and that's one thing they fail to learn from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu).

You should defend them.

You should support them.

You should let them know their sacrifices are appreciated.

Too often in politics, people are remembered only when they are needed again.

That is a mistake APC must learn from.

Whether one agrees with Toyin Abraham's decision or not, she has earned the right to make that decision for herself.
