Here’s what I think I’ll see when I watch the tape tomorrow:
1. Seattle’s defense didn’t try to outsmart anybody. They just ran their defense.
2. They had one or two different 3rd-down pressures and a similar rush plan to what they showed on tape all year.
3. The blitz they ran with Witherspoon a half dozen times—the one the Patriots couldn’t stop—has been around for 20 years.
4. All 11 players knew exactly what they were doing and played faster than the Patriots.
Genius isn’t tricking people, running exotic blitzes, or using dozens of different coverages.
Genius is getting all 11 players on the same page and playing faster than the other team.
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

@marcjoffe You guys have saved hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars from prop 13 and still complain your taxes are too high. Please leave - we won’t miss you.
Ironically, the reason that a house often becomes a decent investment in practice is not necessarily the house itself (a depreciating, non scarce asset), but rather the fiat currency short (mortgage) and the forced monthly savings rate (building equity) it comes with.
“We built cities all over America that are designed for automobiles and not designed for people... Our housing costs are high, in part because of the way that we've designed our cities."
- @GovDougBurgum North Dakota comments during the @NatlGovsAssoc winter meetings
Unpopular but true: Bitcoin is the most significant monetary advance since the creation of coinage.
If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
@Tony_CTDirector @OTS_CA@CHP_HQ@NHTSAgov You denied a bike lane under the 242 overpass. The bike lane just ends right next to the freeway on ramp. Cal-trans doesn’t care about cyclists or pedestrians.
“I obstinately want to commute by bicycle whenever and wherever I can because it doesn’t burn any gas and it’s a wonderful way to exercise. Whenever I get out on my bicycle I feel like a kid playing hooky from school.” @Nick_Offerman 🚴🏼♂️ @TheWarOnCars

I have a dream...
...and Midjourney says it looks like this.
There’s a perfect storm of opportunity for a moonshot in housing:
1) Home affordability in major metros is out of control
2) There are 40 million remote workers in the US with "portable" income equal to the GDP of Australia. (📍Think about that for a moment—a group of like-minded remote workers has the power to pick a spot on a map and create a local economy from nothing.)
3) There's a growing desire for a simpler, healthier lifestyle & sense of community.
🌊Why not build a new kind of village that surfs these mega-trends?
—Inspiring location with great weather, world-class outdoor access, & a regional airport within a 90 min drive (the western slope of Colorado comes to mind)
—Beautifully designed, right-sized homes for $500k (no mansions or keeping up with the Joneses) interspersed with…
—Affordable (even subsidized) multi-family rental housing for service workers, young & lower-income people, and owners of…
—A curated collection of restaurants & shops (individually owned by residents)
—Walk & bike only inside the village
—Lightning fast internet and co-working space
—Hybrid private/home/online school (teachers are residents)
This would be the real deal—not a Disney-esque “new urbanism” development in the burbs. The best of old-world Europe meets the best of modern America. Think Telluride or Alys Beach without traffic or tourists.
It’s a big, audacious idea but only 1% as audacious as projects already underway in Saudi Arabia (e.g. The Line).
I believe there’s huge pent-up demand for this. Heck, I'd leave my beloved Boulder to be part of it.

Getting a lot of health professionals saying it’s “hyperbolic” to compare sugar to heroin.
🤔I’m curious - by what metric: Addictiveness? Impact on dopamine receptors? Societal harm? Financial ramifications?
Just because something is normalized doesn’t mean it isn’t abhorrent.
And we finalized!
Happy merge all. This is a big moment for the Ethereum ecosystem. Everyone who helped make the merge happen should feel very proud today.
