Time to take a bite out of worm taxonomy! This is a glycerid making a meal out of a maldanid. It’s a worm eat worm ocean out there.

Yesterday we joined @ShakeOutBC . We love working on beautiful Vancouver Island, but it comes with the hazard of living in the most seismically active area of Canada! Every year the biggest worldwide earthquake drill helps to prepare us for earthquakes and tsunamis.
This week we helped out with #fcbioblitz. We had a blast working with @HakaiInstitute to collect subtidal samples & identify invertebrates. The organisms we found will be shared on iNaturalist & the data will be used as a baseline to study changes in the False Creek ecosystem.
Today is #WomenScienceDay
