@fooobar Who will be responsible to look into these hidden secrets? Which authority is responsible to look into the pain suffered by PhD students? They need good research. How can someone carry out a good research in scarcity of these basic facilities?
@fooobar We as PhD students, working in scarcity of every basic thing. We didnтАЩt even have centralised ice making machine facility. On every morning we look up to other labs having these facilities, once they have spare ice then we can plan our experiment.
@fooobar We are paying Rs. 40,000 per year and that too being a fellowship holder. Which authority is responsible for looking into these kinds of problems suffered by students all over India. Whenever NAAC team visit universities they only show the golden side.
ЁЯФ┤I have written about the #Zika virus in the past. This ЁЯз╡ is more on why we should be really worried about it in #India.
I hope people will take note. Time to act is Now !!
@BhatiaRohit10@abhijit_MLab True! Toxic PIs often don't recognize their own toxicity, and if a student tries to retaliate, the PI may retaliate further, making the student's life miserable.
@abhijit_MLab There are no laws in universities that evaluate PIs to ensure they are supportive and effective for their PhD students. While PhD students undergo numerous evaluations to improve their work, there is no committee assigned to assess the lab environment and PI behaviour.
