Though events like the #Walk2EndAlz remind me how far-reaching + devastating #Alzheimers is for all of us touched by the disease, it was inspiring to see so many colleagues, team members, mentees, and their families show up for the cause. @endalztn @VanderbiltAlz
2016: started my MS with 0 Python knowledge
2021: led the first @VanderbiltAlz Python Workshop :) Huge thank you to @timothyjhohman and @AJtheScientist for the opportunity, and thanks to all who participated! :) Happy to chat reg workshop content & resources, please reach out!
The only cool thing here is the graphics involved in creating the different IDE panels. I'm still confused how you can connect an R terminal to a Python terminal. And, how many people do half a project in R and the other half in Python? 🤔
prython (R + Python) is a novel IDE that allows you to code in R #rstats or #Python (you can even use both within the same project) by connecting panels in a canvas. https://t.co/OUgaoPBBgM
@kdnuggets Was a little skeptical, then I watched the video. Its almost like SketchPad meets regular IDE. The coolest part is how you can drag and connect different panels!
Thank you @prashvemuri for virtually visiting with our team this week and serving as our #VandyADday keynote speaker. What a fantastic talk on cognitive #aging and #resilience from an imaging perspective! https://t.co/Ugauzh8bOg https://t.co/PbWeiLl2tb #EndAlz
@WomenWhoCode Python for sure, but training myself to evaluate the situation and decide which language would work best rather than jumping to python everytime!
The Vanderbilt Memory & Aging Project earned an $18.2 million grant from the National Institute on Aging to continue studying role of vascular changes in onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease—work that could lead to early prevention. @AJtheScientist

@AlzGirlLori So sorry I missed this! I haven't worked with that data yet, just heard about it for the first time that day :) happy to connect either way with others in the field!
Probably my favourite day at #AAIC2020 so far! Amazing plenaries & live sessions on #Epidemiology in diverse global pp. I learnt so much about dementia care + response in my home country of India, and #LASI Longitudinal Aging Study in India. Thankful for the learning opportunity!
A brilliant (and scary) visualization of how mask wearing and refraining from social gatherings help reduce the spread of #COVID. P.S: where can I learn to make graphics like this? 🤯
The graphics in this article are excellent— this is a huge part of communications that has been missing. If you want to understand how layered interventions reduce #covid19 spread— why masks are indispensable but not always “enough” — read this.

So many cool talks at #ISMRM20! Very grateful for the opportunity to attend virtually. Excited to take a deep dive into MR fundamentals, learn about new brain imaging and analysis techniques and "sit" in on my first ever machine learning course!
Great progress in the field at #AAIC20 and need therapies to go with the biomarkers to #ENDALZ! I really couldn't have predicted this 5 yrs ago! #NYTimes got that right! "Amazing isn't it?"
#biomarkers day at #AAIC20 and I love how the Q&A chat sessions are designed! Instead of furious note taking, I can simply copy+paste. Also, yesterday's Q&A sessions are still open so you can go back and view the discussion incase you missed it. #AAIC2020
Many of us around the world are attending our first ever #AAIC, thanks to the fully virtual (and FREE) nature of #AAIC2020. The virtual platform is brilliant - really feels like I'm actually at the conference! #AAIC20
