କମିଶନରେଟ ପୋଲିସରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରତ ୨୫ ବର୍ଷୀୟ ମହିଳା କନେଷ୍ଟବଳ ରାଜଧାନୀରୁ ନିଖୋଜ ହେବା ଏବଂ ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ମୃତ ଦେହ ମିଳିବା ମୋତେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବ୍ୟଥିତ ଓ ଚକିତ କରିଛି।

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଡିସିପି ଟ୍ରାଫିକ୍ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରୁଥିବା କନେଷ୍ଟବଳ ଶୁଭମିତ୍ରା ସାହୁ ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ୬ ତାରିଖରେ ଡ୍ୟୁଟି ସାରି ଘରକୁ ଫେରିନଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ମାଆ ୭ ତାରିଖ ଦିନ ପୋଲିସରେ ବିଧିବଦ୍ଧ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ। ଆଜି ତାଙ୍କ ମୃତ ଦେହ ପୋତା ହୋଇଥିବା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଘଟଗାଁ ନିକଟରୁ ମିଳିଛି।

ଶୁଭମିତ୍ରାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଖବର ମୋତେ ମର୍ମାହତ କରିଛି। ଏହି ଘଟଣା ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗ ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପୋଲିସର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଦକ୍ଷତା ଓ ପାରିବାପଣିଆ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନବାଚୀ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛି। ଯଦି ପୋଲିସ ବିଭାଗ ତାଙ୍କ ନିଜର ଜଣେ ମହିଳା କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କୁ ୧୦ ଦିନ ଧରି ଖୋଜି ପାଉନାହିଁ ତେବେ ସାଧାରଣ ନାଗରିକଙ୍କ ଅବସ୍ଥା କିପରି ଥିବ ତାହା ସହଜରେ ଅନୁମେୟ।

ଶୁଭମିତ୍ରାଙ୍କ ବାପା ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ପୋଲିସକୁ ଅବଗତ କରାଇଥିବା ନେଇ ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହା ସତ୍ତ୍ୱେ ତଦନ୍ତ ବାଟବଣା ହେଲା। ଶେଷରେ ମହିଳା କନେଷ୍ଟବଳ ଆଖି ବୁଜିଲେ। 

ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ନେଇ ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗ ଓ ପୋଲିସ ଯଦି ତାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଶୈଳୀରେ ତୁରନ୍ତ କୌଣସି ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ନଆଣନ୍ତି ତେବେ ଆଗକୁ ଆହୁରି ଅନେକ ଶୁଭମିତ୍ରାଙ୍କୁ ପରିବାର ଲୋକେ ହରାଇବେ।

ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଗୋପାଳପୁର ଓ ବାଲିହରଚଣ୍ଡୀ ଭଳି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ସ୍ଥଳୀରେ ଗଣଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ ଭଳି ଦୁର୍ଭାଗ୍ୟଜନକ ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଛି। ଏବେ ପୋଲିସ ବିଭାଗର ଜଣେ ମହିଳା କନେଷ୍ଟବଳ ନିଖୋଜ ହେଲେ ଏବଂ ୧୦ ଦିନ ପରେ ମିଳିଲା ମୃତଦେହ।
