In government schools anyways, no religious items are allowed to be worn, whether it's a kada, kaala dhaaga, rosary or burqa

I'm seeing so many people jumping in to say "Oh but the genocide is of the past, think about the present", whenever someone even mentions something about the Kashmir genocide of 1990. If that is so, then why do we still grieve the actions of Britishers onto Indians before 1947?
