Every visit to Jantar Mantar leaves me thinking. An elderly man told me, “Hunger strikes are old-fashioned now.” Yet, watching Sonam Wangchuk and others continue their protest makes me wonder: does Gandhi's path of non-violent protest still have a place in today's India?
"Hum kattar Bhajpai hain, par..." That sentiment is increasingly being heard across Uttar Pradesh as the political mood begins to shift ahead of the Assembly election.
Across Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi, many voters continue to praise Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for improving law and order and ensuring strong governance.
At the same time, concerns over unemployment, inflation, corruption, exam paper leaks and recruitment delays are growing, even among BJP supporters.

What drives students, parents, and working professionals to join a public protest over education?
In this ground report on Day 6 of CJP's ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar, The Indian Express spoke to people who believe India's education system is failing to provide equal opportunities. Protesters discussed rising educational costs, unemployment, economic inequality, family pressure, and the challenges young people face while pursuing higher education and stable careers.
Some interviewees explain why they chose to participate despite professional and personal commitments. Others reflect on the widening gap between educational aspirations and employment opportunities, the financial burden on families, and the need for policy reforms.
This report presents first-hand perspectives from those on the ground, offering viewers an opportunity to understand the concerns and aspirations of people participating in the movement.

@letsblinkit Please see your response. After waiting for so long and sharing all the required details, the only solution I received was to contact the brand directly...
Another issue with online shopping, @letsblinkit : Ordered a Philips induction with a 7-day replacement policy, but they refused to replace a defective product. @jagograhakjago Where is consumer protection? Why aren’t authorities taking notice?
@letsblinkit I received your response after almost 12-18 hours, and you’re saying that you helped me.. How exactly did you help? Please tell me. I’m really tired and have already wasted so much time waiting for your response.
Next time, I’ll make sure not to order from Blinkit again. Tnx...
@letsblinkit Hi Blinkit, I have already shared all the required details, but I still haven’t received any proper service or resolution. Thank you, Blinkit. I’m really tired of this experience now...🙏
@Philips Okay, as per your policy I’m eligible for a 7-day replacement for a defective product, and your support confirmed it. Then why am I being asked to visit a service centre for a DOA certificate? Why this extra step within the replacement window? Please clarify publicly.
@letsblinkit@blinkitcares This is not the first case with Blinkit. They have delivered defective items multiple times before, and they consistently refuse to provide replacements...
@Philips Hi Philips, thank you for your reply. Why should I contact customer support when you offer a 7-day replacement? What’s the point of the policy then is it misleading customers?
@zeptocares@ZeptoNow@fssaiindia@jagograhakjago If your aim is to deliver a better experience, how did a spoiled item reach me in the first place? Do you even check the quality before dispatching items? This should not have happened at all.
Do online delivery companies think consumers are fools? Ordered fruits from @ZeptoNow got a dry, spoiled muskmelon. Complained, and now the refund will take 4–5 days. No product, money stuck... So, What did I even get? @fssaiindia@jagograhakjago
