It's scary disfunctional that as a pro 20x user on gpt. a $ user for like 3-4 years now

I think this is why recent marketing has pushed towards gpt 'work'.

Coders will goto local LLM's. Your avg office worker won't.

The office worker also won't need resets because token usage is 100x less.

Coders are probably the worst market to create a moat around. They want the most tokens and they are willing to drop a closed model on a dime for something better.

Currently I pay $200/m when open models like qwen 3.8 can now do 90-95% of that on home hardware.

They'll need to get pricing in the ballpark of content streaming subscriptions which give you 24/7 usage at whatever quality you want.

Every house should also have the paint brand on it.

I should be able to identify at a glance, was the paint on this house mixed by the owner, or a paint company?
