Lawyers funded by the Justice Centre have sent a warning letter to @AndreaHorwath and @HamiltonPolice after they attempted to prevent a political conference organized by @DominionSoc from taking place in Hamilton.

Mayor Horwath urged local businesses not to host the conference. Hamilton Police then asked the public to report possible venues to police, despite identifying no crime.

Constitutional lawyer Hatim Kheir said, “The City of Hamilton and Hamilton Police are using both direct action and their influence to exclude a viewpoint they disagree with from the entire city. This is unconstitutional and fundamentally at odds with the way a free and democratic society operates.”

The legal warning letter calls on Hamilton officials to cease and retract their actions and respect Charter freedoms of expression and peaceful assembly. 🇨🇦

Hamilton Police Services @HamiltonPolice has switched into their Brownshirt uniforms and are now actively pursuing and censoring political dissidents.

Dominion Society has been actively promoting policy alternatives to mass immigration, thru peaceful civil debate and advocacy campaigns.

For this the Hamilton Police are demanding that Dominion Society members must wear a yellow star on their sleeves and be excluded from civil society.

In a desperate attempt to stop the @DominionSoc conference, the ridiculous Marxists in power have resorted to weaponizing the police.

The pitiable Gestapo have gone so far as to bully both the venue and the backup venue into cancelling, visit other venues as well to intimidate their owners, contact chairman @DanielTyrie to threaten him that he must pay for the police resources they are using, and set up a tipline for citizens to call if the Dominion Society is suspected of having found a venue or browsing for one.

They know we are winning on public support and ideas, and that we will soon take their power and reverse their damage.

The conference will take place as planned, and our nation will prevail.

The most important value of a democratic society is the right to peacefully organize regardless of political outlook.

We have committed no crimes, and yet we are being actively persecuted by the police because of our opinions - opinions that are shared by roughly 50% of Canadians.

Over the last 24 hours the Hamilton police has adopted mob-style intimidation tactics.

Yesterday morning, executive officer Darren Murphy called me to threaten to charge us with any additional police expenses caused by DOMCON. There is no reason to believe additional policing would be required by our event. The only threat is the angry anti-Canadian activists organizing to disrupt us facilitated by government funded NGOs.

The HPS have no interest in protect our event or our guests. They wanted to cancel the event.

Today we learn that they are going venue-by-venue to pressure businesses into canceling on us or refuse our booking.

Is this an appropriate use of police resources in a city as dysfunctional as Hamilton?

This is an obvious abuse of power.

Remigration is not a fringe opinion. The police, the state will not be able to stop this important conversation from taking place.

This is the most important cause of our lifetimes are we are not going to be stopped by some thugs and bureaucrats on a power trip.

This isn't just about me. This isn't just about the Dominion Society.

This is about upholding all of our Charter rights to freely organize.
