Once I went to pick my car up from the mechanic and the mechanic said, “This is the first alignment I’ve done at this building,” and I said, “OH WOW!” because being with children all day has made me unable to modulate my enthusiasm

@exfundiediary Not me, but my sister was being pretty aggressively pursued by a guy in our church youth group whose last name happened to be my mom’s (very common where I grew up) maiden name. My grandpa was at a church function and recognized this guy as his cousin’s son

@bookkeepPLUS A sleep training clock was fairly helpful in keeping them in their own beds, but my oldest is almost eight and still does this once or twice a month and my 3yo got into my bed with me like three times last week, so?

@JosiahHawthorne The pastor of the church my family attended when I was a teenager took 3+ years to preach through Matthew. Every time I came home from college and he said, “Turn with me to the book of Matthew,” I was like, “STILL?!”

Something I’ve observed about gun culture is that people who grew up around guns say things like, “My dad taught me to handle guns,” and some of those people don’t realize that their dad, who they love, is an idiot
