June 10, 2020: Drafted with the 2nd pick to the Baltimore Orioles

February 21, 2021: Mike Elias reveals that Kjerstad has inflammation in his heart (myocarditis), causing him to miss all of the 2021 season

June 10, 2022: Makes pro debut in Delmarva. Progresses to High A Aberdeen by the end of the year

April 9, 2023: Starts year in AA Bowie

June 5, 2023: Joins AAA Norfolk

September 14, 2023: MLB Debut

March 22, 2024: Starts year in AAA Norfolk. Earns another pro chance a month later

June 12, 2024: Clay Holmes hits Kjerstad with a 97 mph fastball to the head. Would struggle on and off with complications of a concussion until September.

July 29, 2025: Shutdown for the season with “fatigue”, later revealed by Elias to be an “unspecified medical condition”

March 25, 2026: Misses start of year with hamstring injury. Returns to AAA in late May

September 1, 2026: Gets the call up to the Baltimore Orioles
