Bajrang Dal has come across 25 cases of love jehad in just one week in Uttarakhand. In this raid, they caught Qadir Khan who had mixed some drug in a water bottle and given it to a Hindu girl, and got her into a hotel room. In his wallet they found a kalawa thread which he used to fool Hindu girls. He was also carrying a sharp knife which was used to threaten girls who refused his advances. Qadir's phone showed he was messaging several Hindu girls via social media. He wasn't talking to girls from his own Muslim community which indicates this is targeted love jehad.

1. A team from Salboni Police Station reached TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's Kolkata residence around 2 a.m. in connection with the alleged Salboni land scam. Sources said investigators were searching for his aide, Sumit Roy, after leads emerged during the interrogation of arrested former Medinipur MLA Sujoy Hazra. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reportedly arrived at the residence shortly afterwards.
2. ED conducted searches at seven locations linked to TMC MLA and former minister Madan Mitra in the municipal recruitment scam. Raids covered his Dakshineswar residence, Bhawanipur party office and other premises. Investigators are probing allegations of bribes for municipal jobs and examining documents, cash and bank account details recovered during searches.
3. The ED also searched businessman Sanjib Ghosh's premises in connection with the wider recruitment scam probe.
