Given that Reddit is extremely vocal, DICE has tuned down the sniper glint stuff and the bullet tracer effect in #Battlefield6 based on some of the best memes from the Open Beta.

"I saw those memes with the [Liberation Peak] hillside just full of these giant glares", Console Combat Designer Matthew Nickerson said to IGN. "They're really, really funny, and they kind of magnify, 'Hey, we still have work to do.'

"For example, with the sniper glint stuff, we knew it was too strong, so we stepped it back. We knew the bullet tracer effect was too strong, so we stepped it back ... At the end of the day, it keeps us honest. It keeps us, like, 'Hey, we still have work to do. There are things that players are, maybe, not vibing with or are vibing with in different capacities'... From a design standpoint and from the team, we love this stuff. The community is engaged; we are engaged."

We're aware of some confusion around Early Access entitlement for next weekend's Open Beta.

To confirm, upon redemption of the Early Access key, you will be required to download the Beta Client on the platform of your choice when it becomes available early next week.

Early Access begins on August 7th, so there will be plenty of time to download the client.

The Early Access key is an entitlement that will work on any platform linked to your EA account; you choose where to play!

Additionally, upon redemption you may see a message stating "Base Game required"; this is referring to the Beta Client which goes live next week.

We will relay any further updates here on @BattlefieldComm as necessary,
