I'm so angry right now.

One thing I've noticed is that many Nigerians have an accountability problem at almost every level.

The moment you ask for an update on a project, request receipts, or simply ask how funds will be spent, they immediately become defensive, as if you've accused them of stealing.

Our boss's birthday is around the corner, so the HR suggested we'll do something for him.

Almost immediately, the Procurement Officer volunteered to handle everything, that we all know he's an event planner, so we'll buy a gift, order food, decorate the office

Immediately he's concluding we all should contribute ₦30,000 each that it will carry the whole preparation.

Head of security politely asked, "Can you prepare a budget first so we know how much each item will cost?"

His mood changed instantly, tackling the CSO immediately that "If you don't have ₦30,000, just say so. Don't discourage those who are willing to contribute."

Omo, I was shocked at such audacity... because how has accountability turned to accusation or transparency become an insult?

A young model in Jos has reportedly lost his life after being brutally beaten over an allegation of phone theft.

An allegation.

They weren't even certain he took the phone, yet they dragged him away, beat him with planks, took him to a hillside, and continued until his face became unrecognizable.

Even through the torture, he reportedly kept saying, "I didn't take the phone."

Think about that.

If he truly had the phone, what more did they expect to achieve after beating him to that point? What kind of cruelty is this?

Probably they wanted to trend, because of the ongoing trend of punishing "thieves" rn in Nigeria.

And now that he's dead... have they found the phone?

This culture of jungle justice has gone on for far too long. Accusation is not conviction. No one has the right to become judge, jury, and executioner.

Section 34(1) of the Nigerian Constitution guarantees every individual the right to dignity and freedom from torture or inhuman and degrading treatment. That right was violently taken away.

The videos circulating online are heartbreaking. No family deserves to receive their loved one in such a condition.

Everyone involved must be identified, arrested, and prosecuted. Justice cannot bring him back, but it can send a clear message that human life is not disposable.

Justice must be served. 💔

He was beaten to death yesterday by students in an off campus apartment behind the City of David in Ring Road area of Jos. .

IB passed the night in his friends place in Ring Road and the friend accused him of stealing his iPhone 16 in the morning.

He said since they were the only two in the room, he's the only suspect.
They subjected this young model to brutal torture, humiliating, disgracing and dehumanising him.

They later locked him up in a room and asked a nurse to check up on him. The Nurse confirmed him dead and they attempted to take him to JUTH Emergency unit to make the case look like an emergency when the police was called and they were arrested.

The beastly treatment they subjected this boy to is better imagined. Share this until the right thing is done. May Almighty God continue to expose perpetrators of dastard acts like this. Amen/ Ameen
