Almost every #Phish show in 2024 would’ve been THE BEST SHOW of several 3.0/4.0 tours.

It’s the story of this truly great year that they’ve always been *trying* to get there & have eventually succeeded at some point in most shows — an excellent year b/c they’ve WANTED IT.

But since Sphere, the statistical likelihood that any jam will “play itself out” organically or patiently segue into the next song…

…has been VERY LOW.

MANY great jams forced into recapitulation.

@1point0show At Sohere it was obvious that Trey was consciously ending jams by bringing them back to the originating song — returning to the “head” if you will. It helped to make the Sohere visuals self contained narratives of the song. That was appropriate.

But…he’s still doing it. Often.
