This is really sad.

These 6 young nursing students were traveling to Ogbomoso for their final year nursing exam 2 days ago.

One of them is a pregnant woman who is almost due to deliver the baby.

They had a ghastly motor accident and they’ve all died including the driver and unborn baby.

It really gives me heartbreak the way Nigeria ruins lives, causes pain and cuts short the future of many bright young people. May God console the families and loved ones of these young nurses.

This is just too heartbreaking 💔

On their way to LAUTECH Distance Learning examinations, they were involved in a fatal accident and all died on the spot.

This is not the first time.
And it should never be normal.

LAUTECH Distance Learning was established long before ABU Distance Learning, yet ABU has centres across the country. LAUTECH students are still forced to travel long distances again and again risking their lives just to write exams.

Every semester, nursing students go for examinations.
Every semester, we hear of accidents.
Every semester, lives are lost on the road.

After years of hardship.
After intense study.
After suffering and sacrifice
they die before their dreams are fulfilled.

Enough is enough.

Education should not be a death sentence.
No certificate is worth a human life.

LAUTECH management must act now.
Establish examination centres in every state.
Protect your students.
