Gaming and yapping about stories is kind of all I do.
Posting about the phase 1 puzzle for clarity, if you’re still unsure.
The tower behind Kefka has 3 candles that need lit.
You can clear the phase “normally” without lighting the candles, but it will lead to a fake clear once you finally defeat him in phase 2.

Reminds me of the first Doctor William Hartnell. He famously refused to just fiddle with random buttons and instead memorised what every single button and lever on the TARDIS console did He told the directors: "The kids look at this... if I turn the wrong knob, they'll know."
@mrs_galvus Basically yeah. And even then what works for one shard may not work for others. My hope is that they don't begin and end her and Calyx by the end of Evercold. I'd love for a lineup of antagonists situation for the next few expacs of them trying to save other shards and stuff.
@mrs_galvus I'm gonna simp for her til the day we have to potentially put her down lol. The potential to work with people we don't like for an outcome we need is interesting, but I have also seen XIV drop the ball on these threads in the past so hoping we get something good for sure.
@mrs_galvus We also have time dilation between the shards so she could have been working with the shards for years but still only in a small amount of time on the source. I think it'll be interesting seeing when/where the movement started and how it came to be.
@mrs_galvus She could literally just be the rebel in the group who was doing all this throughout the story or it could have started when the writing was on the wall that the Ascians were going to fail. Lots of stuff to get answers to in Evercold. It's hype.
@mrs_galvus She wants to believe in us, either because the others did or maybe even her original self did etc. But I also don't see it as a "please help me" given she's still going to stand in our way, I see it more akin to a "If you think you can do better then prove it." Gonna be fun.
@mrs_galvus I would love for it to also come from a place of empathy as well, for she even states she cares about mankind's journey, but to her it's basically a challenge at this point that while I know they won't have the balls to do it, could mean making difficult choices to save people.
