Hey #Dogecoin: what should you do if you are holding your #Doge and other #crypto in @AtomicWallet, considering the numerous reports of users reporting from this wallet?

Obviously, I advise anybody to withdraw funds from the wallet as soon as possible. Anyhow, since at the moment we do not yet know how the hack is being carried out, I do not recommend even opening Atomic Wallet.

Instead, if you have a backup of the seed phrase, restore it in another wallet (Trust Wallet, for example, which you can use as a temporary smartphone wallet), if possible on a different smartphone.

Since Trust Wallet seems to implement the same standard and derivation path, you should be able to see the #Dogecoin you had in your Atomic Wallet also in your Trust Wallet.

From this wallet software (which anyhow is still using your Atomic Wallet's seed phrase, so your assets are still not safe), move the assets to another wallet which is using a different seed phrase.

Trust Wallet supports multiple wallets, each with a different seed phrase, but there are other wallets like Coinbase Wallet, Exodus, and those linked to cold wallets like Trezor which you can use.

Always remember:

- Stay calm, do not panic.
- Make multiple backups of your destination wallets' seed phrases BEFORE sending your coins.
- For long-term holding, always use cold wallets.

Note: this works for Dogecoin, according to my tests, and it should work for other cryptos as well. Anyhow, for some crypto, the situation seems more complicated due to Atomic Wallet's peculiar implementation of derivation paths (https://t.co/79yU7YI1fZ).
