@Rothmus The zoomer need to sip water every five minutes demonstrates fragility. Have a big drink before you head out. Use the water fountain or bubbler if you still get thirsty. You'll be fine.

@WilhelmBeck14@VonMisesBTC Loan-to-value ratio. (80% if down payment is 20%.) As you pay down the loan, and as your property appreciates, the LVR will reduce. Ours is at about 60% after four years so it's time to refinance. Pull that 20% out to buy more corn (or push back spending any of it).
I'm looking to buy a new shelf for under my TV and I found two options that are the right dimensions and that my wife also likes. The first option is a piece of shit IKEA shelf that might last 5-10 years if we're lucky but only costs 150k sats...the second option is a much nicer shelf made with real wood that'd probably last the rest of our lives but costs closer to 750k sats.
I'm probably gonna go with the cheaper option and if it breaks in 5-10 years, then I'll just replace it with another cheap one. Overall, buying the cheap furniture once every 5-10 years is gonna cost significantly less than buying the nice one today that never needs to be replaced.
It's funny because you often hear bitcoiners talking about preferring high quality longer lasting items but if the price for cheap shit is low enough and you're trying to save as many sats as possible, then the incentive is to go for the lower quality items that last just long enough so that by the time you have to replace them, the price to get cheap replacement has significantly dropped.
What do you think? Which one would you get? #Bitcoin
