Researchers announced in 2005 that a sculpted and polished phallus which had been found in a German cave was amongst the earliest representations of male sexuality ever uncovered.

The 20cm long, 3cm wide stone object, which was dated to around 28,000 years old, was buried in the famous Hohle Fels Cave near Ulm in Germany's Swabian Jura region. The prehistoric 'tool' was reassembled from 14 fragments of siltstone. Its life size suggested that it may well have been used as a sex aid by its makers, people of Gravettian culture.

Phallus dates back to when Homo sapiens were walking around in Europe. Although it's impossible to carbon-date stone, scientists believe it's 28,000 years old because of other items found in same layer of sediment at Hohle Fels. Scientists don't know how smooth, rounded object was used in Paleolithic times, used to sharpen flints. Stone has marks along it, according to Floss, who believes that its use as a tool doesn't rule out other purposes. It shows that these people had a private life with friends and family and more importantly they had an aesthetic appreciation.

Leading the research was Professor Nicholas Conard, from the department of Early Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology at Tübingen University in Germany.

'In addition to being a symbolic representation of male genitalia,' he explained, 'it was also at times used for knapping flints. There are some areas where it has some very typical scars from that.'

Researchers believed that object's distinctive form and etched rings around one end meant that there could be little doubt as to its symbolic nature. It was highly polished and clearly recognisable. Tübingen team working Hohle Fels already had thirteen fractured parts of the phallus in storage, but it was only with the discovery of a 14th fragment in 2004 that team was able finally to put 'jigsaw' together.

Different stone sections were all recovered from a well-dated ash layer in cave complex which is associated with activities of modern humans. Dig site turned into one of the most remarkable in Central Europe. Hohle Fels stands more than 500m above sea level in Ach River Valley and has produced thousands of items from Upper Palaeolithic. There are other stone objects known to science which are obviously phallic symbols and are slightly older, from France and Morocco which are also of particular note. But to have any representation of male genitalia from this time period is highly unusual.

"Female representations with clear sexual attributes are very well-documented during this period, but male representations are very rare," said Nicholas Conard, Tubingen team director, describing elongated polished item with round incisions at top.

Female bodies and items depicting female genitalia were quite common and often these artful objects also had a utilitarian purpose during middle upper Paleolithic period. Conard hopes that his team will find additional evidence to shed more light on human sexuality at time. Regardless, creativity has been a characteristic of humankind since its earliest days, from cave wall paintings in south of France to ivory figurines of water fowls and horses found in sites dating back 35,000 years ago.

Current evidence indicated that Swabian Jura of south-western Germany was one of central regions of cultural innovation after arrival of modern humans in Europe some 40,000 years ago. Swabian Jura is made up of strata from Lower, Middle and Upper Jurassic periods, created between 190-130 million years ago at bed of Jurassic Sea and later elevated. It was home to Gravettian culture, an Upper Palaeolithic human culture which was largely located across Europe.

New radiocarbon dates from site of Vogelherd in Swabian Jura were indicating that earliest Aurignacian occupation of region by modern humans spans period from around 40,000-31,000 years ago before being superseded by Gravettian.

JUST IN: On March 14th, a Chinese engineer posted a tutorial explaining how to use passive infrared sensors to detect and track American fighter aircraft without triggering their radar warning receivers. Three weeks later, an American F-15E Strike Eagle is in a crater in central Iran. The IRGC says it was brought down by a “new aerospace defense system.” The system appears to be exactly what the tutorial described.

The principle is elegant. Radar is active: it emits radio waves that bounce off the target. Every American fighter carries a warning receiver that detects those emissions. But infrared detection is passive. It reads heat. Jet engines produce heat. A passive sensor tracking that signature emits nothing. The warning receiver stays silent. The pilot does not know he is being tracked until the missile is already in the air.

The F-15E is not stealth. But the tutorial was designed for the F-35. The same principle applies: stop looking with radio waves, start looking with heat, and the $1.7 trillion stealth programme becomes a coating on an airframe that is still hot. The tutorial was posted on Chinese social media, translated within days. Three weeks later, the technique appears to have been operationalised.

This is the second time passive tactics have brought down a generation-defining American combat aircraft. The first was March 1999, when a Serbian battery commanded by Colonel Zoltan Dani shot down an F-117 Nighthawk over Kosovo using long-wavelength radar and visual cueing. The F-117 was retired within a decade. The lesson: stealth is optimised against specific frequencies. Change the sensor, change the war.

Iran’s layered defense integrates Russian S-300 for radar search, Chinese electro-optical trackers for passive acquisition, and Iranian Raad-family missiles with onboard IR cameras for terminal guidance. Radar finds the area. Passive sensors track without emitting. The missile guides on heat. The pilot’s systems detect radar. They do not detect infrared. That gap killed the F-15E.

Now consider who built this kill chain. Russia supplied the S-300 base. China supplied the passive sensors. Iran assembled the hybrid. And China is simultaneously the country supplying the rare earth magnets in every F-35 engine, the country blocking the UN Security Council resolution to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the country paying yuan tolls to transit the closed strait, the country co-authoring the five-point peace plan with Pakistan, and the country whose engineer posted the tutorial that appears to have taught Iran how to shoot down the aircraft China helps manufacture.

China occupies every chair at this table. Supplier of the components that build the jet. Teacher of the countermeasure that kills it. Mediator of the peace. Blocker of the UN resolution. Beneficiary of the closure. The molecule passes through the strait in Chinese tankers paying Chinese currency while the aircraft designed to reopen it falls using Chinese technology.

The F-15E did not fail. The assumption that the enemy would always look with radar failed. And the country that taught the enemy to look with heat is the same country offering to negotiate the peace while its rare earth controls ensure the replacement cannot be built without buying from the nation that taught the enemy to destroy the original.

The kill chain starts in Beijing. The peace talks start in Beijing. Both end in the same crater.

In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross.

In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress.

At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped.

A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him.

Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours!

The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion.
