What is C2PA? The standard that makes cameras tell the truth

Your next phone 📱will probably cryptographically sign every photo you take the moment you press the shutter button.

It's called C2PA. Google's Pixel 10 already does it. Camera manufacturers like Leica, Nikon, and Sony are rolling it out. The signature binds the image to the device, creating tamper-evident proof that a real camera on a real device captured what you're looking at.

The problem is what happens next.

A journalist crops the image, an editor adjusts the exposure, a platform compresses it for mobile.

The moment anything changes, the original signature breaks. You're back to square one: no way to verify what's real.

That's the gap Brevis Vera closes. Vera uses zero-knowledge proofs to verify the entire edit path, from the signed original through every transformation to the final published version, mathematically proving that only legitimate edits were applied. No raw content exposed, no trust required. 🔐
