We cut costs, solved problems, didn’t quit. Still back real volunteers and charities, respect to changemakers. Founder: “Even if only I alone will support the projects and people on Bitkind, it’s okay. I made my own website where I can help people in need, the rest is noise”.
Bitkind was built to remind people that good still exists. That even in the chaos, there are people who care.
We can’t lose that. Because what’s left if we do?
Thank you for helping us stay online this month. With reduced bills, we can survive.

We’ve slashed our infrastructure costs from ~$500 to ~$45/month. That’s across many services, databases, and tools.
If this project dies unseen, maybe that’s the real failure, not ours alone, but of the hope that crypto could be more than coins and protocols. That it could be kind. Human. A place where stories still matter.
Friends, we got reports the donation widget isn’t working with MetaMask. Our volunteer dev looked into it, seems it’s due to a MetaMask API update. Don’t have a dedicated team, but will find time in the next couple days to fix it.
The website is back online - thanks for your patience! We’re not a big company or a well-funded organization. Bitkind is entirely built and maintained by volunteers. If you appreciate our work, you can support us with a crypto donation. Thank you!
No more news coverage. We’re shifting focus to what truly matters: stories and videos that inspire kindness. Starting with the incredible Vietnamese charity community.
Filming has begun. Daily videos drop in 3 weeks. Stay tuned.

@paulg Doing things that aren’t mainstream is hard. You build something meaningful, but still go unnoticed because real value needs loud voices or strong connections to be seen.
@andy8052@jessepollak Totally fair take. But maybe the missing piece isn’t the tech but the intent. If onchain content focused more on human impact (education, charity, open knowledge), would the vibe feel different?
@jessepollak@Farcaster@zora You mention Zora a lot… just wondering, do charity builders on @base get the same spotlight? Or is the focus only on top commercial projects that fit the feed?
@jessepollak@base Do you only support friends and people you know, or is there a way for projects like ours to reach out? We’re building something unique on Base, but not sure how to get on your radar.
