It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth.
In my lifetime, China lifted 850 million people out of poverty, while the US created one trillionaire. It is clear as day that socialism is the key to our future.
There’s a wealth threshold beyond which money stops changing your lifestyle. At that level, Dangote and Elon Musk can enjoy virtually the same luxuries.
It always beats my brain that Nigeria has a dedicated national programme & budget to fund the rehabilitation of terrorists but has nothing dedicated for the victims of the terrorists who are traumatized for life.
In other countries the government deports illegals. In South Africa, hooligans, vigilante and xenophobic groups, beat, kill, extort and humiliate fellow Africans. This barbaric behaviour is evil and unacceptable
If I wanted to maintain my current standard of living, but in Nigeria, it would cost too much to be realistic.
Nigerian prices are way too expensive in USD terms despite having such a devalued currency, and I don't understand how everyone is quiet.
That country is stupidly expensive for no reason at all🤷🏾
This is how we check World Cup fixtures when there was no access to internet, gone are those days at Ojota, like it’s was so interesting, they will sell to us then unfolded in other to make it easy to access, we will fold it and begin to write score after each match.
Childhood 🙌🏼
Nigerians paid over ₦2.3 trillion to kidnappers in one year.
Our entire federal education budget was about ₦2.18 trillion.
Think about that.
We invested more in fear than in learning.
More money went to criminals than to educating our children.
No nation can develop when kidnapping becomes a bigger industry than education.
I personally want Obi as Nigeria’s president so people can see that you can be upright, be respectful, be a Nigerian, be law-abiding, have no criminal case and still win in Nigeria. Obi’s presidency is good for Nigeria’s moral compass.
If you’re dating someone and you can’t comfortably tell them 'I don’t have money for this right now' without feeling ashamed, you are in the wrong relationship. 🤷♀️
The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian.
Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions.
Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok.
This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal?
At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people.
It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations.
The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure.

This is all the evidence you need to know that this government is not interested in stopping terrorism because if they can track this guy down, they can also track down terrorists who are actively posting on TikTok.
Nobody said Pastor Adeboye is responsible for Nigeria's problems
Nigerians are saying Pastor Adeboye is a hypocrite and an enabler of bad governance & supporter of corrupt politicians
My issue with modern feminism is no longer about equality. It feels like feminists are angry at the realities of being women, and since they can’t direct that frustration at nature or God, they direct it at men instead.
Good morning everyone, his killer Kelvin Ezeigbe Oniarah was sentenced in 2013.
President Tinubu granted him clemency last year 2025, and he is set to be released this year.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
