Staking is now live on mainnet.

Staking is an important milestone for Hyperliquid because it allows the diverse community of HYPE stakers to collectively secure the network. Like other proof of stake networks, new blocks on Hyperliquid are proposed by validators in proportion to the HYPE staked to them. Staking is a serious responsibility for the Hyperliquid community.

Users can stake HYPE to a trusted validator and earn staking rewards in HYPE. Users may consider different metrics when choosing which validators to stake to, such as uptime, commission, reputation, and community contributions.

The Hyper Foundation will have a Delegation Program to support high-performing validators and further decentralise the network. More information about the program will be announced. Note that locked tokens may be staked, but their rewards are locked.

Em tempos viajou até à China Comunista.
Nos campos trabalhavam de sol a sol sobre as ordens do ditador.
De pá na mão milhares de trabalhadores escavavam o dia todo.
Milton perguntou ao ditador:
'Porque não trazem uma máquina para escavar? Utilizamos nos Estados Unidos, o trabalho é muito mais rápido e precisaria de menos pessoas'
O ditador respondeu:
'Acha? Nunca faria isso, assim o povo deixaria de ter trabalho'
Milton questionou-o:
'Sendo assim porque não escavam com colheres de chá em vez de pás?'

Por muito cruel que pareça os despedimentos são um processo normal neste caminho.
Devemos todos enquanto sociedade procurar trabalhar menos.
É a procura da eficiência que te permite hoje ter bens e serviços mais baratos do que tinhas há 40 anos atrás.
Um pacote a chegar a casa em 24 horas, uma viagem para outro país a menos de um décimo do teu ordenado, um apartamento n... não esqueçam esta.
A produtividade nunca deve ser reduzida em prol de mais emprego.
Vão-se uns empregos surgem outros.
Ou pergunta a alguém há 20 anos atrás se previa que ser influencer ia ser uma profissão corrente que pagaria 20k mês a algumas pessoas em Portugal.
Pergunta à tua mãe se ela com 30 anos sabia o que era um podcaster, um project manager ou uma start up.
O mesmo tema surgiu contra a automatização/industrialização no século passado, e no entanto hoje faltam pessoas para trabalhar nas fábricas.

E mesmo que de facto esta mudança de paradigma traga pela primeira vez desemprego generalizado, está tudo bem.
Os problemas que daí chegarem são para resolver depois.
Universal basic income, comunismo global, anarco-capitalismo, ninguém sabe.
Mas nunca limitar a eficiência em prol de gerar emprego.

Por muito que seja difícil de interiorizar nas nossas cabeças trabalhadoras o objetivo do capitalismo é mesmo este:

Desenvolvemos tanto a eficiência durante décadas que agora cada vez estamos mais perto de não trabalhar.
E está tudo bem.
