A channel devoted to all types of computers, though it mostly focuses on vintage computer technology from last century. In reality, we'll cover lots of tech!
Submitting READYCode to the Microsoft Store (as a free app). First time submitting a Windows app. This is an open source app that I wrote for my own benefit but figured I'd learn how to submit it as an app so it can be easily used by others. https://t.co/LegRRfbYKT #commodore
@commodoreofcl@frutigerdillon I was so excited to pre-order the #Commodore 64 Ultimate last year, and now I'm super excited to pre-order whatever Commodore releases *after* the Callback. Based on the AI generated ad, I am nowhere near their target demographic, and I'm ok with that, I'll wait for what's next.
Love my Commodore 64 Ultimate but wanted a better editing experience, so I created READYCode. You can check it out here: https://t.co/dePE22EBBp

Although it's been out there a couple of weeks now, this is a great interview with Anders Hejlsberg - creator of Turbo Pascal, Delphi, C#, and TypeScript. Some great insights from a great computer language designer.

For anyone curious about what software ships with the new Commodore 64 Ultimate, you can see it all here. I've never used GEOS but I'm excited to give it a try!

Fired this laptop up today for the first time in many years. Apparently, it no longer has support for Windows XP. Who knew? 😉

I don't know if we'll ever see an article for the Timex Sinclair 2068 in Compute!'s Gazette but I'm looking forward to reading the new (November) issue none-the-less! Looking forward to reading more about #C64OS as I think about trying it out on my original #C64. #commodore
"You have reached the final test, my friend! You are proved clever and powerful, but this is not yet enough! Seek me when you feel yourself worthy!"
Microsoft has open sourced Zork I, II, and III under the MIT license. Cool!

27 years ago today, Microsoft Windows CE 2.0 was released.
Back when pocket computers didn't have phones built into them!
Mobile operating systems have come a long way since then!

Since we can't edit the original post:
▫Both the Founders edition and Starlight edition Commodore 64 Ultimate machines come with reactive LEDs which you can turn off it you like.
▫️Both variants (Starlight + Founders) come with sound reactive LEDs.
The differences are:
1) The Founders has satin gold keys. The Starlight edition has transparent keys.
2) The Founders edition has an amber transparent case whereas the Starlight has a transparent case.
3) The Founders edition is limited to 6400 machines that will ever be produced. Once they are gone they are gone! And it comes with a lot of extras compared to the other two variants ( check the product page here --> https://t.co/SKlNdr93rt)
Is Commodore well?
One thing I'll hand to "Peri Fractic" is that he's been somewhat transparent about the acquisition. Could he be more transparent, sure, but it's not a complete black box. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over time (likely a long time). It will also be interesting to see if the "new" Commodore registers any new trademarks for new products.
