#C64OS finally setup on the #C64U. Had to go for a clean install. Now, I need my old desktop, colors and shortcuts back. Oh, and an ethernet cable. I'll need to find a way to get around that.

Updating #C64OS is way, way, way easier than I thought it was. I am so amazed by how fantastic the work of @gregnacu work on this fantastic operating system for my C64U. I am a bit behind on versions because I didn't read the manual, super easy, super, super easy and am looking forward to the latest updates. Oh, JiffyDOS is a must. I am glad I bought the ROM for that.

@VirtualJames Yes I have a 1541 Ultimate II+L with the ESP32 WiFi. I’ve used it with wired Ethernet and wireless. It also provides the REU and JiffyDOS kernal replacement. It is kind of the ideal cartridge to use. An SD2IEC, U2+L, and mouSTer and you’re rocking. Don’t forget to pickup #C64OS

Here are some examples of PETSCII graphics that the new img ripper can extract to data files. They can be viewed in Image Viewer, but they can also be edited with the new Desktop Designer App, which is a full PETSCII editor, and much more. #C64 #C64OS

Oh my god. As a programmer, I live for these moments of victory. I’ve had a few nights of things not working and it getting me down. But, when it works, and I get to see and use it, it makes me feel like I’m on drugs. Natural endorphin high! #C64 #C64OS

Here’s just a little update. I’m working on the multi-line text input control, but along the way I found some optimizations that I could apply to the single line input field. That freed some space to make cursor tracking improvements. #C64 #C64OS
