@SkinnyfatTony Yeah me too. And FT View.
Optix is Rockwell’s answer to Ignition. Good combo of no-code GUI objects and ‘anything is possible’ code environment. Tons of example projects. I have found some bugs but could be user error.
@standardbots@RoboStrategy@generalcatalyst Are you guys doing demos? How does a no-code robot handle pick and place from trays, different recipes, or incorporate data or IO from other devices to make decisions?
@yacineMTB How would you solve some sort of “cut measure cut” with AI or RL? I get a measurement vector that tells me both how accurate the first cut was (targeted X material left) and how to affect the second/final cut to get the result I want.
I’m simplifying but curious on your 🧠
@hunterlanier Did you carve these by hand? I can’t tell which feature you’re talking about beveling but for like $100 you could probably land a woodworking router table off Facebook and get a chamfer bit with a bearing on it that will ride along your part’s sides and make an even cut
@literatewalrus@Moustache_bq@khiazmos Is smoking cigarettes fun? No, it’s just addictive. Some drugs stop being fun at a point and then you’re just addicted.
Like maybe being a spoiled millionaire crackhead is fun but I don’t exactly see a homeless crackhead and get jealous at how much fun they seem to be having.
@wispem_wantex It’s good at coding but that is a bit of an economic misadventure. Code at scale made global companies with no tangible product. It’s a dead end in the tech tree. Code will never make your laptop levitate off the desk and they’re not going to be making Facebook 8 in 2045.
