It’s our favorite time of the year again -- our 2025 State of Techbio Survey is now live!
This survey is an opportunity for you to help give back to the broader Bits in Bio community.
This survey is our shortest yet, and will take ~3-5 minutes to complete (link below).
Take the survey here: https://t.co/YRRG1BkUgl
Its goal is to form a shared understanding of trends, progression, and the general state of tech & life sciences year over year. The survey is anonymous and data/insights will be shared publicly in early 2026.
Join me next week (8/27, 5:30p) at a panel hosted by @bitsinbio, @pearvc, and @kepler_ai_ to discuss AI in biopharma R&D! Register here: https://t.co/v6dKVPFIZg
Interested in an AI Hackathon for science? If you’re in SF, come hack:

Lunch & prizes will be provided!
Bits in Bio started as a small group of people passionate about what’s possible at the intersection of biology and technology. Today, we’re a global community of scientists, engineers, and builders — and our site is redesigned to better reflect who we are and where we’re headed.
The new Bits in Bio website is officially up and running, check it out here: https://t.co/77BXXhV2VO
Huge shoutout to @wunderdogs_ for designing and developing the site. They were thoughtful partners from day one and truly helped us bring the spirit of Bits in Bio online.

We’d really like this to be a representative picture of the entire software x science space and then more responses we get, the better the resource will be for everyone when we publish it early next year.
We’re coming up to the last week for our survey — please fill it out if you haven’t already! Survey below
If you have filled it out, please share it with your coworkers/other communities where you think it would be relevant!
For those of you who haven’t participated before, take a look through the history of that channel or look on our blog for past ones (e.g. https://t.co/veEi89oxkb)
Excited to announce the resumption of our @bitsinbio Q&As! These are AMA style interviews that happen on Slack and allow you to engage with scientists and engineers working on cool problems!
Our next one will be on Tuesday November 12 at 10am PT with @ronalfa of @NOETIK_ai
We'll be talking about the foundation models they’re building and their unique approach to data generation. Should be a ton of fun — bring questions!
You can get an event invite here: https://t.co/EIUidGSWuz (and make sure to subscribe to our calendar for other invites)
Is techbio a real industry? Is it growing?
Add your voice to the 3rd annual State of TechBio survey!
If you work in bio or tech-for-bio, take 7 min & share if you code, your wet vs dry lab ratio, if you use automations, etc
P.S. join @bitsinbio to make friends & find jobs!
