..complexes.
With a future practical tool we can say:
“Here are the 50 proteins known to be enriched in the synaptic proteome; show me the candidate complex structure, rank by plausibility”
This is the next frontier of fundamental biology.
Because the search space of solving unified theory of biology is computationally impossible with the today’s tech, especially when you ask questions like “Can I predict a cell’s fate?”. What we would see in the next 5-10 years is routine prediction of multi-subunit protein..
OpenMined recently completed a test pilot using GPU enclaves in the evaluation of an AI model across two organizations. Details here → https://t.co/QSsp2jG0cm
Read the Belmont Report if you're working in/leading human-subject AI research. It creates a solid platform for personal and organisational ethical AI use. There's no need to reinvent the wheel.
@JasonNjoku Interesting! I wonder if there'll be a yearly annal (or something of that sort) that distils some of these conversations that non-members of https://t.co/NwcfFEpjoA can get access to for a one-time fee. It would be interesting to read.
Great work!
@ashinzekene Really? That’s interesting to know. I know copilot have undergone several iterations, but it had its quirks in the early days. What kind of reference though? If you don’t mind , I’d like to learn the stark difference between the two.
At the beginning of Grad school, I took an elective on "Leadership for Innovation." My entire purpose in taking this was to understand where "innovation" comes from. Could it be taught? My professor's response and this tweet are similar. It can actually be taught (I guess).
One of my graduate students dropped by my office, exasperated, and said, "I don't know how to innovate. So, how can I do a PhD?".
I erased my whiteboard and began listing strategies for generating new research ideas. They left reassured and excited!
As #professors, we mentor and make knowledge accessible to empower our students. I hope this is helpful to others! #academicchatter #Phdlife #Highered
@levelsio I guess this is why I’m leaning towards @37signals Campfire. Firstly it’s not monthly payment, you pay once get source code, host your stuff. It’s weird to be a data generator when as a side effect when you’re paying for a service.
Reflecting on how https://t.co/AMKCrR7EI9 shaped my teenage years. Since 2008, it's been my go-to for timeless tales from the Brothers Grimm to Aesop's Fables. Always updated, always magical. A heartfelt thank you to @storynory for filling my days with stories. 📚✨
@miss_amazing__ Pursuit of wonder is amazing! Their video on 'Kafkaesque' got me sold.
I'll Throw is Veritasium, Oversimplified(fun history), Tom Scott, kurzgesagt
anyone who has a job that involves thinking in any way would probably benefit from reading this book (halfway through now). very straightforward and cogent thoughts on how to make things that people find value in
Exciting News! I am thrilled to announce that we have received $582,702 ($377,702 from @GAC_Corporate & $205,000 from YU) to train 10 African Ph.D. students in math modeling of climate change & health (@). Grateful to @GAC_Corporate@univcan for making this possible. @bcdi2030
