Daphne was a man who identified as a transwoman. Daphne committed suicide due to the bullying of trans activists who couldn’t stand Daphne’s relationship with Dave Chapelle or the fact that Daphne defended him. Dave helped Daphne, both in comedy and in real life. It was the intolerant community that Daphne belonged to who contributed to Daphne’s death. Dave set up a trust fund for the daughter Daphne left behind and referred to his friend as being a beautiful person.
