-Water cooler tap doesn’t work.
-doors and windows are broken.
-Many children have to sit on the floor, while only few have benches.
-There are cracks in the walls, and rainwater enters the classrooms and kitchen

With 600 students, so many children are packed into a single classroom that they can’t even hear what’s being taught.

Elections had not been held as per the constitution...so whose party, whose govt?

The only way was to have a govt consisting of people from all parties. This is the govt that S P Mookherjee was part of. It was not charity from Nehru.

After this, elections were held. Nehru's Congress won a majority and formed the govt. Every single minister in that govt was from Congress, as it should have been.

SC/ST एक्ट का इस्तेमाल कौन करता है? मैंने देखा है कि SC/ST एक्ट के तहत ज़्यादातर फ़र्ज़ी मामले अनुसूचित जाति (SC) के लोगों द्वारा दर्ज कराए जाते हैं, जबकि अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST) के बहुत कम लगभग न के बराबर...

मैं दलितों की बात नहीं करूँगी, वे अपना देखें; मैं सिर्फ़ आदिवासियों (ST) के बारे में लिखूँगी। मैं अपनी ही बात करूं तो अब तक ज़िंदगी में मुझे कभी भी अपनी जाति की वजह से किसी तरह के भेदभाव का सामना नहीं करना पड़ा। बल्कि, मुझे समाज के हर वर्ग और जाति के लोगों से प्यार और अच्छा व्यवहार ही मिला है।

मैं झारखंड की आदिवासी हूं। मैंने देखा है जो आदिवासी जंगलों, पहाड़ों और दुर्गम ग्रामीण इलाकों में रहते हैं, उन्हें तो इस एक्ट के प्रावधानों के बारे में 'ABCD' तक नहीं पता। सिर्फ़ तथाकथित आदिवासी एक्टिविस्ट, ज़मीन माफ़िया और आदिवासी नेता ही इसका इस्तेमाल अपने विरोधियों को फंसाने या बदला लेने के लिए राजनीतिक और कानूनी हथियार के तौर पर करते हैं। आम आदिवासी समुदाय का इससे कोई बहुत ज्यादा लेना देना नहीं है। हाँ, कुछ पिछड़े और ग्रामीण इलाकों में थोड़ा-बहुत भेदभाव हो सकता है, इसकी संभावना से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता।

कई लोग SC/ST एक्ट को खत्म करने की मांग कर रहे हैं। मैं SC/ST एक्ट को हटाने कि पक्षधर नहीं, आदिवासी समुदाय के लिए एससी एसटी एक्ट, आदिवासियों को उनके "जल जंगल जमीन" को गैर - आदिवासी (दिकू) भू-माफियाओं से संरक्षित करने और बचाने में कानूनी रूप से कारगर है। SC/ST एक्ट को खत्म करने की नहीं बल्कि इसमें व्यापक संशोधन की ज़रूरत है। किसी सूरत में SC/ST एक्ट का गलत इस्तेमाल नहीं होना चाहिए। @ajeetbharti
