@NigeriaNDCHQ The credibility of any movement is tested not when everything goes smoothly, but when legitimate concerns are raised by its own members.
NDC's national leadership now has an opportunity to demonstrate that accountability is more than a campaign message.
Enugu East need answers
@NigeriaNDCHQ
NDC cannot continue to champion transparency, accountability, and internal democracy while remaining silent over serious concerns arising from the Enugu East Senatorial Primary.
The longer the silence, the louder the questions become.
#EnuguEastDeservesAnswers
@NigeriaNDCHQ Millions of Nigerians have embraced NDC because it promised a different political culture—one built on integrity, fairness, and accountability.
If transparency is demanded from governments, it must also be demanded within the party itself.
Accountability begins at home.
@ShehuSani The question should be, would any person had dare such gathering during the former President Goodluck Jonathan PDP era. And answer is yes. APC is evil. I agree with you.
The Islamic imam who put 1million naira to any Muslim that can behead a pastor for preaching Jesus has said:
“…whoever carries out this job (of beheading the pastor), I swear to Allah I’ll give him one million naira. We have nothing to lose even if after beheading this pastor, the Arewa plunges into chaos, we have nothing to lose…”
Dear @OfficialDSSNG@PoliceNG
We know you will pretend not to see this. But we are bringing this to your attention again.
There are Muslim clerics in northern Nigeria who are openly calling for the beheading of Christian pastors.
Pls help retweet this for the world to see.
BREAKING: This is the notification of resignation Hon Nafiu Bala, Deputy National Chairman of ADC received and stamped by INEC back then in October.
Repost aggressively.
Time to End the Persecution of Political Opponents
The current administration must put an end to the blatant persecution of political opponents disguised as criminal prosecution. The integrity of the rule of law in Nigeria is non-negotiable; its degradation undermines our economic development and threatens national stability.
The recent arrests and continued detention of key leaders from the African Democracy Congress (ADC), namely Mr. Abubakar Malami, former Attorney General of the Federation, and Malam Nasir El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna State is worrisome. The timing of their arrests—coinciding with their commitment to ensure the current administration is voted out in 2027—raises serious questions. The methods used in their apprehension contradict the principles of rule of law. Prosecutorial decisions must be grounded in concrete evidence and probable cause, transparently presented without ulterior motives. The undue denial of bail or unjustly stringent conditions imposed on bail leave little doubt that the government is wielding criminal prosecution as a weapon against its political opponents.
The situation surrounding Malam El-Rufai is particularly concerning; his repeated transfers between the EFCC, ICPC, and DSS suggest a desperate search for any charge that might stick, straying dangerously close to a fishing expedition rather than a credible investigation.
I firmly believe that Nigeria requires a civil and criminal justice system that instills confidence in every citizen—that no one should fear persecution for their political beliefs or actions disapproved by those in power. The criminal trial process must adhere strictly to legal standards. As we approach a critical election period, the government must cease its efforts to undermine political opponents under the pretense of battling corruption, and wrong doing.
I wholeheartedly support the fight against corruption, and wrong doing, but it must be conducted with integrity and transparency, starting with those currently in power rather than targeting opponents.
A credible anti-corruption and anti wrong doing campaign cannot afford to be selective.

Identifying with the People Peacefully for Electoral Integrity
Yesterday, February 9th, I participated in a peaceful protest at the National Assembly to demand urgent electoral reforms that truly reflect the will of the Nigerian people.
Our demands were clear and non-negotiable: anyone seeking to hold titles such as Honourable, Distinguished, or Excellency must emerge through a transparent and honourable process. Aspirants for public office should provide verifiable records of their primary, secondary, and tertiary education, along with fulfilling other constitutional requirements such as age and qualifications. No one should aspire to lead without having gone through due process.
Beyond eligibility, candidates must engage in open campaigns, public scrutiny, and debates as mandated by law. Most importantly, election results must be transmitted electronically and in real time to protect the people's mandate and eliminate manipulation.
Claims that certain states lack network coverage are no longer acceptable. Financial institutions operate nationwide through secure digital networks to conduct transactions and collect taxes on a daily basis. If banking systems function seamlessly, our electoral system can and should do the same.
Nigeria must stop being a so-called Giant of Africa that disgraces the continent and instead become a beacon of exemplary governance, beginning with credible elections.
We owe the younger generation a nation built on order, justice, and trust—not one mired in chaos and impunity. As the agitation continues, I urge our youth, who turned out in large numbers, to remain steadfast and not relent until the necessary reforms are achieved.
I remain firmly committed to the vision of a New Nigeria—one that is not only possible, but inevitable if we stand and act together. -PO

Building a Healthier Nigeria
Today, I continued my healthcare uplifting charity with a visit to the College of Nursing Sciences at St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha, where I donated ₦15 million to support the training of nurses. Investing in education and healthcare remains central to sustainable national development.
I reiterated to the students and staff the critical role of nurses as the backbone of any functional healthcare system and urged the students to pursue their studies with discipline, excellence, and a spirit of service, despite prevailing challenges.
I shared an experience today from a Lagos–Asaba flight, where a young girl had a medical emergency on board, which was calmly handled by a health professional, underscoring the life-saving value of well-trained health professionals.
I also noted the contrast between Indonesia’s over 95% health insurance coverage and Nigeria’s estimated 5%, stressing the need for deliberate investment in healthcare at all levels.
I assured the institution of my continued support and called on well-meaning Nigerians to assist healthcare institutions and educational institutions for a better Nigeria.

Extending education to 148 prison inmates with an Unannounced Visit to NECO.
A few days ago, following an appeal from representatives of inmates in correctional centres across Anambra State, I wrote to the National Examinations Council (NECO), providing a letter guaranteeing payment of their examination fees.
After I shared this intervention on social media, the Nigerian Friendship Association, USA, through its non-profit foundation, the Friendship Association Education Assistance, Inc., reached out and expressed its desire to assist. I am deeply inspired by their generosity, which demonstrates how collective goodwill can restore dignity and open doors to opportunity.
Today, unannounced, I visited the NECO office in Awka to personally present a cheque covering the full amount for 148 inmates from Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Aguata correctional centres. The total payment, including examination fees and logistics, amounted to ₦4,741,400.
Following the visit to NECO, I also visited the Awka Correctional Centre, where I interacted with some of the beneficiaries. I encouraged them to remain hopeful and focused, reminding them that their current circumstances do not define their future. I emphasised that education is a powerful tool for personal transformation and reintegration, urging them to see this opportunity as a step toward rebuilding their lives and contributing positively to society.
Education remains central to rehabilitation. I was particularly encouraged by what I observed during my recent visit to California State University, Sacramento, where rehabilitation-focused programmes for disadvantaged and formerly incarcerated persons place education at the heart of reintegration.
Correctional centres in Nigeria should similarly function as true centres of reform, equipping inmates with knowledge, skills, and hope for a meaningful life beyond confinement. I urge the government to consider supporting such initiatives for deserving inmates.
Together, through education, compassion, and strategic support, we can transform lives, restore hope, and build a society where every Nigerian has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully.
