Yes, but the slight counterpoint to this is: part of the fun of being a dad is watching your children play and be happy. Not saying we should be doing it in a drunken stupor.
But I remember a quote a long time ago that said something to the effect that
“God is happiest when His children are at play”
And I think there’s something of that in being a father, and watching one’s children play
@JehanGodrej 100%. I used to be in the extreme minimalist camp. Now I’ve basically gone full maximalist.
I’m swinging back toward minimalism now, at least a day or two a week.
