I like being a dad, stocks, leverage, nicotine, hotels, and Coca-Cola. I work in wealth management/family office services. Personal thoughts, not advice.
@aincomeinvestor Why do you care what other people do with their money? It’s probably in society’s best interest the majority of people are bad with it.
@PunchyMoney Idk, what are perks? I bring in my own paper and pens, I bought my own monitors and wall decor. This is at a company that makes multiple billions of profit a quarter.
My son switched schools recently and said “you know dad you’re always group 9 or 10 in carpool. Lot of the other kids get picked up in groups 1 and 2.” “Oh son it’s dangerous to be in those groups. Lot of those moms that don’t work day drink and are on pills. Safety first we always say.”
@BowTiedTaxes@mountainwesttax Just because you can make all these inferences and cute connections now, and at scale, doesn’t mean you should. It’s novel for now but it reads even creepier than regular cold outreach.
A real piece of work contractor doing AI lead gen emailed our operating business’ main distribution group at 04:00:00 asking a very sensitive question that was pieced together with very limited public disclosures/filings. I replied back “really appreciate you unsolicited announcing this to my staff” then my wife made me delete it from everyone’s inboxes. Don’t do this.
@boogaloogrrl She wants to play for the step up in basis to avoid paying capital gains too. It’s kind of shameful to beg for empathy when it’s completely within her control to make an alternative choice that better fits her life stage.
@HighyieldHarry AI will probably kill snake drafts and free agent waivers. Auctions and FAAB will become more of the plane of competition because human grand strategy will still be a valuable input to the game.
We’re in a period of adjustment. Right now you and I are interacting directly, but soon we will be disintermediated and it will just be our AI agents interacting. We will all be so much more efficient but life will become devoid of meaning. Fantasy football is just the first domino to fall.
