@LasVegasLocally Not sure what you did to the photo, but it's wrong. Ceasar's and the Bellagio are behind the camera if you are looking down the street to the east.
@JeffLandfield I think it boils down to what the ground material is made up of and what the structures are made of. Here there are many areas of bedrock and dense soil that hold up better than silt or sand that tends to "liquify" under the immense shaking and vibrations.
