@talkSPORT It’s a simple choice. Should spending be driven by the wealth of the owners - ie the club owned by the richest person “wins”. Or should it be based on the financial viability of the actual clubs, as per the current rules? There’s no real choice.

@ben_bowman_ We get 50m now, avoid paying 10-15m wages over the next 4 years. If he becomes a 100m player, we effectively can buy him back for 80m - so only a net outlay of 15 - 20m. Not a bad option to pay someone else to develop him into a premier league player.
