Brian Wood

Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream…

Dear @HowardU,
We met you in March of 2020. Shortly thereafter, Covid shut down the world. You were so different from anything we had experienced. And that April, our son @jordanbw34 decided he wanted to get to know you better. In May, Mr. George Floyd was murdered.

Thank you for giving him an opportunity when many would not. Opportunity is the root of your founding; opportunity breeds hope, and as they say, hope springs eternal. Opportunity is why you will always be The Mecca.

Forever grateful,
The J-Wood family.

You taught him truth and service.

As his dad, I’m so proud to say Jordan has a finance degree from your unrivaled institution.

Of course, all of this was made possible by @HUMensBB. Thank you for believing in Jordan and for shaping him into the man he has become.

This guy is a man after my own heart, true middle child just like his old man. When I look back on my memories of his first 18 years on this planet, one word always comes to mind: sweet. Happy 18th Birthday @AJ__Wood my sweet, sweet boy! Go chase your dreams.
