“I don’t know what standing Iran has to lecture anyone on human rights or the international system when they habitually violate it.”

Iran’s president said Trump’s speech went against the “essence” of the United Nations and that Iranians will never bow or bend the knee under sanctions and pressure.

Rubio’s response: slaughtering 10,000 of your own people in protests is a violation of the UN. Sponsoring terrorist groups to hit neighbors, energy sites, and civilian targets is a violation of the UN.

Running a nuclear program in defiance of international sanctions is a violation of the UN.

That is the whole speech. Pezeshkian wanted a morality play. Rubio read the rap sheet. The United States is not going to sit there and take notes from the world’s leading violator of the system they are quoting.

The Islamic Republic came to New York to show itself as a victim. A massacre survivor stood up and ruined the costume.

UN Watch put Daniyal Eyvazi at the microphone. He was not a diplomat. He was a man the regime shot in January while he tried to help a wounded protester. He said what the Islamists will never say: tens of thousands murdered, children to the elderly, a crime against humanity. He was on the ground. He is not “raising concern.” He is the concern.

That is the real contrast of this week. Tehran cries wolf about American and Israeli strikes and asks the world to pity a government that emptied magazines into its own streets. The war they want you to see is the one on their borders. The war they hide is the one they wage on Iranians.

Eyvazi cut through the charade in a few sentences. Iranians are not at war with Americans or Israelis. The regime’s death cult is not the nation. The demand is not another memorandum. It is fundamental change. And he named the transition the streets have already named: Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the symbol of a path out of the Islamic Republic toward a free, secular, democratic Iran.

Watch what happened the second Pahlavi's name was spoken. The Islamic Republic’s delegation lunged for a point of order as "provocative" and "insulting". That is fear. A regime that massacred its way through January is still more afraid of one living Pahlavi than of another UN statement.

The chair let him finish. Good. A wounded Iranian sat with the record, named the alternative, and the butchers tried to cut the mic. History will not have trouble telling those two performances apart.
