Good to see Bangladesh doing well. Some real talent there. If they hadn't allowed themselves to be used and dumped before the T20 World Cup, they could have created an impact.
Congratulations to Bangladesh for not only challenging Pakistan in this series but challenging themselves to break the status quo of defensive home grown spin strategy to win on lively pitches . Shanto stands out in this transformation. He is a very impressive leader.
For Pakistan old fault lines are getting wider and wider . Action is needed to break the status quo!!
Pleased to host FM Khalilur Rahman of Bangladesh and his delegation this afternoon.
We discussed strengthening our bilateral relationship in its various facets. Also exchanged views on regional and global developments.
Agreed to remain in close touch.

Another Global Humiliation For Pakistan 😭 🇵🇰
Remember Graeme Hick?
Graeme Hick was once heralded as “England’s Bradman,” with expectations soaring in the late 1980s that he would dominate international cricket after qualifying to play for England.
The anticipation surrounding his arrival was immense, and for a time, his performances suggested that the hype was justified. Hick’s batting in domestic cricket was of a rare calibre, marked by consistency, power, and an ability to score heavily against quality attacks.
His 1988 season remains one of the most extraordinary displays of batting in English first-class history. That year, Hick became the last player to score 1,000 runs before the end of May, a feat achieved against strong opposition.
The highlight was his monumental unbeaten 405 against Somerset, followed by a commanding double century at Old Trafford on a difficult, turning pitch. To complete the milestone, he scored 172 in his final innings of the month against a full-strength West Indies attack, underlining the quality of his run-making.
At International level, however, Hick was unable to fully translate his domestic dominance into sustained success. He played 65 Test matches for England, scoring six centuries and finishing with an average of 31.32.
While his Test record fell short of the expectations placed upon him, his career is still remembered for its remarkable highs. With the passage of time, the sense of disappointment has softened, and Hick is widely regarded as a player who made an indelible mark on the domestic game, even if International greatness ultimately eluded him.
Teams are picking and choosing their T20 World Cup fixtures. We choose today to announce our refusal to play any future matches against Denmark in Copenhagen. It is a jungle out there.
