We are excited to host these local artists in @MuseumFM, and hope to see many of our @cityoflancpa neighbors drop in for this afternoon's open house at 4:30 p.m.! https://t.co/QX4JHajAMe
Akbar and Mike have decades of public service experience between them — and they’ll be critical to crafting a policy agenda that meets Pennsylvanians’ needs and building a broad coalition in support of it.
I’m proud to have them on my team.
Hugs and high fives warmed the chill of December at Franklin & Marshall College’s winter graduation recognition ceremony last week! Congrats to all the grads. #fandmproud
F&M's studio art majors invited campus to an open studio event in our beautiful Winter Visual Arts Center last week. Always a treat to see @FandMCollege students' creativity on display! #FandMArts
Excited for @fandmcollege to be part of Lancaster's #ExtraGive - happening now! An opportunity to support F&M, but also the community we call home. Every gift supports ongoing opportunities for learning and discovery, and preparing students for life after college.
We are proud to call Lancaster home, and the community spirit during #ExtraGive event is one reason why! We appreciate gifts to our Franklin & Marshall Fund that directly support our students: https://t.co/x8ZwAsjHj3
Shout outs to our alumni connections in this 🧵
Congratulations to F&M alumnus and trustee, @Akbar_Hossai, on earning this important role leading the @JoshShapiroPA transition. Like we've been saying, #TheWorldNeedsDiplomats! https://t.co/bUmOmOddKT
Today, F&M students have a chance to vote for both governor and United States senator in elections receiving national attention. If you are registered to vote here on-campus, I urge you to take time to vote! And many thanks to the #GOTV efforts of F&M Votes! #fandmproud
Our annual #RaiseOurGame campaign for athletics has been up and running throughout the month of October. I just contributed to the Athletic Excellence Fund, and invite you to join me in supporting our scholar-athletes. Let's finish strong together! https://t.co/9ZYt8zQ9Ae #godips
Bill Hutson was a beloved member of the F&M community. We are so blessed that he gifted us with so much of his time and entrusted us with so much of his legacy. He was a warm, brilliant, generous presence among us, and we will miss him greatly.
We are sorry to share the regrettable news that Professor Emeritus and Jennie Brown Cook and Betsy Hess Cook Distinguished Artist-in-Residence, Bill Hutson, passed away September 21. Professor Rick Kent composed a memorial statement, excerpted in this 🧵
Our @fandmcollege employees are second to none, and I enjoyed the chance to visit with so many of them during this Professional Staff Luncheon! Offices set up creative displays to show off the work they do for our campus, our students and each other. #fandmproud#fandmtogether
I recently joined a dozen other college presidents from across the country to talk #highered issues with reporters at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Thank you to @bucknellu's John Bravman for hosting!
Another successful Move-In Day for @fandmcollege! I always enjoy chatting and cheering with our new F&M families. Their children give me hope for the future. #TheWorldNeedsDiplomats
F&M is proud to partner with @educationusa, which recruits students around the world through college fairs, workshops, and more. This month we welcomed advisers from Mozambique, Bangladesh, Mongolia and Papua New Guinea to tour campus and learn more about our great community!
But we have arrived, and our campus community is so proud of the accomplishments of these wonderful students, and we are excited to cheer them on with their families and friends. Congratulations, #fandm2022!
Tomorrow we celebrate Commencement for the Class of 2022, an occasion that serves as the other bookend for my very first Convocation ceremony at F&M. #fandm2022 🧵
In my remarks on that occasion, I encouraged these students to "stretch intellectually, socially, physically, spiritually, and to reach far beyond what you already know." Little did I know then just how much stretching the next four years would require of all of us!
As we prepare to launch another class of Diplomats, we can be confident they will land well. Within 6 months of graduation, 96.3% of #fandm2021 were employed or pursuing further education. Our alumni lead remarkable lives and @OSPGDatFandM helps them at every stage #FandmProud
