@joshmcgoo Very painful. Also, hysterosalpingograms were done without any pain meds/sedation back in the day (1980’s when I had 2 such exams). Brutal. When I asked for some meds for the 2nd one about 7 years after the first, I was told that I should just suck it up and endure it.😵
ALL holidays are made up. You honor July 4th, which commemorates “independence” despite the fact that Black people were still enslaved. You celebrate Thanksgiving, which whitewashes indigenous genocide. Yet you’re bothered by Juneteenth, which celebrates Black freedom? Why? 🤔
@blakandblack@Mridula38383546 She and her followers have been hateful for decades. Very much like the followers of George Wallace and other southern (US) segregationalists/racists.
Tina Turner was iconic, talented, and fierce. What a journey. What a life, filled with great highs and great lows. She left an abusive marriage. She found love again. She made her way in this world, selling millions of albums. She became a mother, she experienced terrible sadness, and she still kept going. She brought joy to so many, even when she was experiencing such tragedy. I’ve always admired her. I first met her as a teenager and followed her throughout her inspiring life. May we honor Tina, and may we continue to play her music loudly and dance! #simplythebest
Tina Turner was raw. She was powerful. She was unstoppable. And she was unapologetically herself—speaking and singing her truth through joy and pain; triumph and tragedy. Today we join fans around the world in honoring the Queen of Rock and Roll, and a star whose light will never fade.
The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla was an excellent example of Anglicanism as protestant software running on catholic hardware. Read about this, and other points, here: https://t.co/uqkf2ys0oU
