He's one of the MANY victims of bribery and corruption issues like these but what sets him apart is that he came forward with the complaint. (8/9)

The calls have been made by the political associates of the police officers in question. They have told the victim that he didn't do a good thing by complaining and that he should withdraw his complaint.

Why was his number leaked? Who is responsible for his safety? (7/9)

The victim has since identified one of the officers, and we have submitted the complaint to the Joint Commissioner (East) as well as Indiranagar Police Station. However, the FIR has STILL not been done.

After this, they drove him (triples, no helmet) to ATMs in Indiranagar until they found one that worked. He withdrew 30k at first, but they refused to accept and shouted at him.

He finally returned with 40k and begged them to spare him something. They let him go for 37k. (5/9)

He only had Rs. 40k in his accounts, so they settled for 50k. For the additional money, they made him call his friend, put the phone on loudspeaker, and warned him not to mention the police, only that it was an "emergency".

Being a meek, partially disabled person who is going through a lot in his life, he got intimidated. The officers threatened him with a "non-bailable case" and told him that it would cost "Lakhs" to get out.

They then forced him to show balances of all his accounts. (3/9)

The incident happened when this person was waiting for his auto on 100 Feet Road (near a popular pub).

The officers came in on a bike, performed a vexatious search of his pockets and all his belongings, and threatened him with a drug test and arrest. (2/9)

A woman has been stalked and harassed by a man for 2+ years in Bengaluru.

The criminal has even had the audacity to impersonate a police officer to threaten and intimidate her, yet the @bomanahalli_ps (Bomanahalli Police Station) did NOT file her FIR today.
