@AR_Salimii Didn't the Sassanian Empire collapse 30 years after the date of this map tho?
Granted, Sassanid Persia under Khosrow II (r. 590-628) famously conquered much of the Eastern part of the Byzantine Empire, including Egypt, Syria, and Palestine.
@KobeissiLetter Has Iran actually agreed to this plan? @grok has this been sourced by Iranian sources/ or just axios? What about middle eastern sources like Alaraby?
@BarakRavid@axios I wonder who else has confirmed this information. @grok have any Iranian sources confirmed this one-page memorandum? Who other than axios has been a primary source for this information on the one-page memorandum?
@MarioNawfal "Iranian lawmakers were reportedly furious with the IRGC for launching the attack on the UAE without consulting them first." - are you positive this is more than just Iranian International rumor? @grok has anyone aside from Iranian international broken this story?
@FirstSquawk Interesting that Saudi sources are so involved in this news.
@grok have any official Iranian news channels reported on this? Have any primary sources outside of Saudi Arabia broken this news of Iran agreeing to enriched uranium? If so, where are they coming from?
@MerlijnTrader@grok@grok please check if new information was released today. Additionally, confirm that any official statements (not unsubstantiated rumors) have been made about Iran putting foward a new formal peace proposal today (as stated in this post).
@MerlijnTrader@grok has this information been confirmed by a reputable wire or news outlet (e.g. Reuters), an official statement from an Iranian or US government official, or something else?
If so, what is said source? Does it rely on-the-record statements or anonymous "insiders"?
@_A_khalifa I mean, the UAE can't "freely" pump 5 mil barrels of oil daily until the Strait of Hormuz is reopened. They're basically limited to the 1.5-1.8 mil through the Fujairah pipeline now.
While leaving OPEC could be important in the future, it is not changing oil output right now.
@_A_khalifa@grok hasn't oil already been flowing through the Fujairah pipeline at or near capacity, which represents a large portion of UAE's current crude output?
@zerohedge I mean, the current output is equivalent the capacity of the Habshan-Fujairah pipeline through Oman, is it not? The rest of UAE's oil would have to go through Hormuz.
Essentially, this is only really relevant after Hormuz opens up and the mines and such are cleared.
@unusual_whales The closest I could find to this headline on Reuters was "Trump unhappy with Iran's latest proposal to end the war."
@grok did Reuters say something more similar to "Iran is reportedly working on a new peace plan after the US rejected the previous on," in its reporting today?
@DeItaone Have any Iranian sources confirmed that Araghchi and the Iranian delegation is going to Pakistan? What about interviews or official, on the record, statements? @grok
@Kalshi@grok What is the primary source for Araghchi travelling to Pakistan? Has it been mentioned by any official Iranian government source? Was it from a public interview of an Iranian official?
@johnhschaefer@TrueFactsStated Very true! Of course not everyone who uses the word "cockamamie" is a vampire.
My all-time favorite old-timer word is "ragamuffin": a Dickensian term used to describe orphened or other down-and-out children living on the streets of Victorian London.
@mark_slapinski "They find a cockamamie ACLU lawyer to overturn our vote anyway, which is where revolutions arise."
Let's be real, how many people since 1838 have used the word "cockamamie"...
