I’ve watched the few intentional black fathers that we do have heavily invest in training their kids in the sports of their liking, encouraging the kids to be determined to be the best and not quitting on the sport. However, it is lost on these same men that cultivating mental skill works the same way — we should be making our children spend hours on critical thinking and orienting them toward applying those skills to the demands of society. Asians and Northern whites treat intellectual exercise the way we treat AAU/Summer League.

Strange. My children don't have this issue. My 5 year old can read whole books and write basic sentences.

I wonder where the issues lie. Perhaps it's cultural. Perhaps, it's the fact that there are no fathers in the home. Perhaps it's because they were passed along when they should have been held behind.

Regardless of the reason society has failed them and they will be a burden on my children and their children.

We can not continue down this path. There won't be enough taxpayers to pay for the welfare state.

We must put a hard stop to as many of these programs and idiotic systems that allow the undeserving to move forward.

It's meritocracy or become a failed state. The bottom 15% can not be allowed to weigh down the top 85.

It's time we leave some behind.

When my eldest daughter was in second grade she started regressing after being at the top of her class. Misspelling words in her assignments, I talked to her teacher and Counselor they both said that they only focus on teaching them to express themselves. My response was that we will have a world of expressive illiterates, I put her in private school. She has now been an elementary teacher for 18 years her students have excelled in reading and writing.
