Nothing Pastor Iren said in that video and in his subsequent tweets warranted the vitriolic responses directed his way. However, none of it is surprising.
Any system where the mass of people respond with outright hatred, against reason or elements of debate, that system can only shrink. It’s the very reason the Democrats lost out in the U.S.
To disagree with their ideas is to be treated like a pariah. To even dare debate these ideas is to be met with threats of cancellation. And they nurtured that so called woke culture thinking they were in the majority.
They indeed looked like they were in the majority, until the elections tore through perceptions and opinions with bare facts. Morning is here and they haven’t even woken up to it yet.
What’s funny in the Nigerian context is that, they are in the minority. And it’s a shrinking minority. And they have no power of cancellation. No political base. No plan. No sense of order.
They are only as important as you make them. It’s why you immediately learn never to apologise to them. Because as soon as you do, you immediately see you aren’t dealing with a civilised bunch able to meet your apologies with grace. You will only get more vitriol.
And who am I writing of? Never mind. They are quick to know themselves.
